There's nothing more important than the people behind a business. When you hire Roseblade Media, you hire our whole team, our expertise and our knowledge.

We want to introduce you to those powering the marketing for our clients. We recently kicked off our "Meet the team" with me, with the lovely Siân posing the questions. Now, it's payback time!

Siân joined our company way back in 2014 and moved to Roseblade Media when we became a limited company in 2016.

But, Siân has worked her way up to her role, joining us as an Admin Assistant, moving to Pay Per Click Consultant, and as of 1st November 2021, became a director alongside her husband (spoiler - it's me!)

Let's learn a bit more about Siân...

What motivated you to work your way up to Pay Per Click Consultant?

It's a very interesting job to be doing, you always have to be learning new things and new ways of working. Every time Google, for example, brings in a new way of working you have to be able to learn the new methods and adapt the way that you work around them.

That's what I like about this, you're always on the go and you're always learning new things.

What do you enjoy the most about working at Roseblade Media?

Having a small team around you means that you can have conversation and get to know your colleagues. This can lead to having a friendly atmosphere in the workplace.

It's also nice keeping up with the current marketing trends and learning new processes all the time.

How is it working alongside your husband?

Sometimes it can be challenging, we're not exactly the world's best critics of each other. But it can be nice too, I always get to be around him, and we're better able to make decisions about where we should push the business because we can be open and honest with each other about what we're thinking and feeling.

If you were stuck on a desert island with one food, what would it be?

My first thought would be cheese, but it's not really enough to live off for any period of time. Maybe something nutritional? Or am I overthinking this? How long am I on the island for? Longer than a week, maybe not cheese.

What do you do to relax outside of work?

I workout, go to the gym and try to get in shape.

Apart from that, I'm also doing a part-time degree through the Open University, although, I will say it's not very relaxing.

What's the biggest challenge of working with Mat?

It's impossible to have a separation between your home and work-life. There is no balance there.

If you could be one animal, what would it be?

I think I would go for a pampered house cat. Just sleeping all day and being fed on demand, what's not to love?

Finally, what came first - the chicken or the egg?

Through natural selection and evolution an animal similar to a chicken laid an egg and a chicken popped out. So I would say the egg came first.

Then again, are we talking about chicken eggs or eggs in general? If it's eggs in general, then yes, they definitely came first.
